Sheffield based artist, Geoff King, has become known for his large contemporary cityscapes but he is equally as enthusiastic when painting in the vicinity of St Ives in Cornwall, or literally on his door step, around the Peak District. Geoff is completely self taught having had no formal training. He didn't take up painting seriously until quite late in life but he has always had a fascination for art.

He paints quickly to create as much life as possible into his interpretation of what he sees. If asked, he describes his style as "passionate impressionism". He is energised and continually motivated by the thought that people enjoy his work so much that they want to hang it on their wall !
